The Great Outdoors
Just got back from Tahoe - due to a business trip to Reno. North east side of Tahoe is faily slow paced. The weather was fabulous. We stayed at Tahoma Cottages. Not too bad...but a bit pricey for the accomodations. Oh well, I guess supply and demand is in effect. We also went to the Shakespeare festival. It POURED, LIGHTING, and THUNDER! Serious rain! The poor actors were almost blown away. The stage was on the beach at Sands Harbour State Park. They said they had never canceled a show in 10 years. Turns out this time they only postponed.
The company picnic was an oasis in the mountains full of more activities than adults should need. I played on the green Giants Broomball team - we lost, but got points for one black eye! OUCH.
Also finished my first KAL. We are focused on dishcloths (worshrags) from the Mason Dixon knitting book. This is tons of fun! The pattern is disclosed in increments of 10 lines. So you really don't know what it will be until day 4 or 5. I have an error in mine - Can you find it? I admit I got lazy. The error didn't seem to be causing any major chaos so I just kept going rather than fix it. Seems in this case the risk was worth it - you can't really tell. In fact I bet you can't find it at all!
